2015 Kia Soul commercial song - Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO
Kia launches "Share Some Soul", its third TV commercial featuring the same three music-loving hamsters!
The world as you know it is being pummeled by high-tech alien robots. Their ultra-powered guns are too much for our lightly armored soldiers. Send in reinforcements! Send in … three hip-hop Kia hamsters in a car?
They’re not any ordinary hamsters; they’re the beloved music-loving, head-bobbing hamster trio from the award winning Kia Soul commercial, and they’re here to save the planet.
Kia has done it again. On Sunday, August 28, Kia Soul's beautifully crafted commercial will make its television debut during MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA). The VMA is the perfect venue, as three cool life-size Soul hamsters and humanoid robots shuffle to LFMAO's smash hit "Party Rock Anthem".
The warring humans and alien rip each other with laser explosions and futuristic ammunition but the banging stopped when an Alien-Green colored Kia Soul drove into the battle scene and pulled over. In colorful sweatshirts, the funky hamster trio shuffled to the dance music, and what do the humanoids and robots do? They dance and party, what else? War over, thanks to three hamsters driving a cool 2012 Kia Soul.
This grooving commercial is called "Share Some Soul". Its debut version runs for 60 seconds, but will also run on 30-second commercials later. After VMA, it will air on all forms of media – TV, movies, Facebook, and YouTube. "Share Some Soul" talks about the hamsters bringing soul to lifeless robots engaging in a soul-less war; and the commercial is all about the Kia Soul, too, of course.
Kia Soul made its unforgettable debut in 2009 with its award-winning commercial courtesy of the same three funky hamsters. People took notice and soon the Kia Soul became a popular household brand name. Today, the new commercial introduces the significantly refreshed and revved-up new Kia Soul.
"After just two model years, we've given the 2012 Soul significant improvements in power, style and fuel economy, making this iconic vehicle the perfect package for consumers looking for something a little outside the box," said Michael Sprague, vice president for marketing and communications, Kia Motors America.
The new Kia Soul has new six-speed automatic transmission that allows it to deliver up to 34 miles per gallon on the highway. It also has new 1.6L gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine that produces 135 horsepower and 121 pound-feet of torque. That means an 11% increase in horsepower. If this isn't enough, a new 2.0L four-cylinder engine is also available if one wished to ride on 160 horsepower. This powerful engine comes with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2012 Kia Soul also has new, funkier and cooler design: new projector headlamps, a redesigned hood, smoother silhouette, and amazing infotainment system, just to mention a few. (Did you see the push-button start in the commercial?)
"Share Some Soul" is the third in a series. The first two Soul commercials were "A New Way to Roll" and "This or That," both of which received numerous awards and accolades from several groups, including the "Automotive Ad of the Year" award and Silver and Gold Effie awards.
